About the Role
As the People and Culture Partner, you will support the team’s objective to ensure our business and managers can provide an environment in which our people can do their best work.
You will focus on helping managers to create a remarkable place to work, where everyone understands how to contribute to our success and has the skills to do so. You will partner with managers in your business area to develop and deliver effective people plans and solutions, including driving departmental change programmes. Overall, you will provide comprehensive and pragmatic advice, with employee experience at the heart of everything they do.
Responsibilities:
- Promote and embed our cultural values throughout all activities.
- Arrange and attend internal events, communications and training to evangelise our core values and desired culture, keeping them at the forefront of our people’s minds.
- Identify and implement improvements for diversity and inclusion, health and happiness, work environment, recognition, and communication.
- Identify improvements for departments and individuals by analysing data and other inputs.
- Assist our leaders in succession planning to solve single points of failure and to plan internal promotions.
- Provide employment advice and best practice guidance to managers, ensuring they are equipped to deliver.
- Coach managers and our people to improve performance/conduct, implementing formal action as required.
- Support managers in making sure our people are set clear and measurable objectives/targets.
- Resolve employee questions, enquiries and complaints, or direct them to the appropriate parties.
- Support implementation of policies/procedures, including disciplinary, capability and grievance.
- Coach and advise managers to set development objectives for their teams and people.
- Implement training sessions/programmes as required that inspire our people to do their best work.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or substantial working experience.
- Experience in an operational / generalist HR role, typically of at least five years.
- Comprehensive knowledge of local employment law.
- Demonstrable experience of implementing policies, procedures and other changes.
- Highly confidential and professional in all circumstances.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to challenge and influence at all levels.
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Curious and data-driven.
